Cannel's Tour ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit cannels-tour.com or contact us to plan a trip, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us
- Contact and quote requests: first and last name, email address, phone number, travel dates, group size, budget range, travel themes and the content of your message.
- Trip organisation: once you decide to travel with us, we may ask for details needed to run your trip, such as the names of travellers, arrival and departure information, dietary requirements, and an emergency contact. We only ask for what the trip actually requires.
- Correspondence: emails, phone calls or messages (for example WhatsApp) that you exchange with our team.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and time spent, collected through server logs and analytics tools.

We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who we share your data with
- Local partners who deliver your experience: guides, drivers, homestay hosts, accommodation and activity providers — only the information they need to welcome you.
- Technical service providers: our website host DigitalOcean (servers located in the United Kingdom), our email provider, and Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads) for audience measurement and advertising.
- Authorities: when required by law.
5. International transfers
Because we operate in Madagascar and use international service providers, your data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in Madagascar, the United Kingdom and the United States. When data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our providers.
6. Cookies
Our website uses:
- Essential cookies needed for the site to function. These do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site.
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads) to measure the results of our ads and show relevant ads.

Our interactive maps load map tiles from third-party servers (OpenStreetMap), which receive your IP address to display the map.

7. How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 3 years after our last exchange.
- Booking and billing records: as long as required by accounting and tax law.
- Cookies: up to 13 months.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU and UK GDPR and Malagasy Law No. 2014-038 on the protection of personal data), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- object to or restrict its processing;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise these rights, email hello@cannels-tour.com. We will reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example the CNIL in France, the ICO in the UK) or with the Commission Malagasy de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CMIL) in Madagascar.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
Our website is not aimed at children under 16. Bookings for minors must be made by a parent or legal guardian.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
